Scudo Benefits Group LLC is an independent health, life, and annuity insurance agency serving individuals, families, and small businesses in DC, FL, MD, MI, OH, TX and VA. We are not tied to a single carrier, so our job is to compare what is actually available to you and explain it in plain language.
Scudo is Italian for shield, and the name is not accidental. We believe true wellness is not only physical. It is financial and it is generational. It is knowing that the life you are building, including your health, your home, and your family's future, is protected from whatever comes. A strong body and a strong financial foundation are not separate goals; they are two sides of the same commitment to living fully and intentionally.

Austin Wilson, founder of Scudo Benefits Group
Austin Wilson did not come to insurance the way most agents do. Before founding Scudo Benefits Group, he spent years in fitness and personal training, helping clients optimize their physical health, build sustainable habits, and perform at their best for the long term.
Along the way he noticed a pattern that changed the direction of his career: the same people disciplined enough to invest in their physical health were often completely unprotected financially. They were training for longevity, yet they had no plan for what happened to their family if life did not go as planned. Closing that gap between living well and being protected is exactly why Scudo Benefits Group exists.

Scudo Benefits Group helps you compare options and navigate the health and life insurance landscape. There is no fee for our services; you pay only your plan's premium.
Privacy policy
We respect your privacy. Personal information you submit through this site (including name, contact details, date of birth, and coverage preferences) is used solely to prepare quotes, confirm eligibility, and help you enroll in coverage. We do not sell your information, and we never share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing austinw@scudobenefitsgroup.com. We will respond within 30 days. The full policy is on our privacy policy page.
Data practices
- What we collect: contact details, household and income information required for eligibility, and any messages you send us.
- Why we collect it: to quote, compare, and enroll you in insurance coverage you request.
- Who we share it with: only the insurance carriers, state marketplaces, and federal enrollment systems needed to process your application.
- How we store it: encrypted in transit and at rest with our vetted platform providers; access is restricted to licensed agents at Scudo Benefits Group.
- How long we keep it: only as long as required by applicable insurance and tax regulations, after which records are securely deleted.
- Employer census data: when a business shares an employee census, we request aggregate, de-identified figures only, including headcount, age bands, ZIP codes, and dependent mix. We do not request employee names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, or any health information, and the person submitting confirms they are authorized to share workforce data on the company's behalf.
- How census data is used: solely to prepare a cost comparison. It is not an application for coverage and not a rate guarantee.
Not a government site: Scudo Benefits Group is not affiliated with the U.S. government, Medicare, or any state marketplace. This site is for informational purposes and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice.
